Security
Where Talia keeps its data, how it is protected and who else handles it. This page states only what is in place; Talia holds no security certification.
Hosting
Talia runs on one virtual server in Switzerland, hosted by Infomaniak. The database runs on the same server.
Encryption and access
- Every connection to the site is encrypted (HTTPS). The certificates are obtained and renewed by Caddy, the web server in front of the site.
- Passwords are stored only as hashes, never the password itself. One time links, such as email confirmation and password reset links, are stored only as hashes.
- Access to the database is limited to the operator.
- Card details are taken by Dodo Payments, our merchant of record. Talia never sees your full card number.
Backups
The whole database is backed up every night, each backup is checked by reading it back, and the backups of the last 14 days are kept on the server. Each backup can also be copied to storage off the server that the operator controls; setting up that copy is on the checklist before launch.
